This wonderful pair of gold and silver earrings were made in England early in the 1700’s.

The starburst-faceted, diamond paste stones  are mounted  over golden foils, with crimped-set, closed  silver backs.

These beautiful, golden-foiled earrings create a stunning look, as the color changes from clear to shades of gold depending upon movement and the play of light –
as these were created when they would be viewed by candlelight!

Each has a graceful gold shepherd’s crook  earwire and measures approximately 3/4 ” from the top of the wire to the bottom of the stone.

The round diamond pastes stones are clear and bright, and measure 10 mm .

These are in very good condition for their age.
