Georgian gold fob set with bloodstone, engraved MAB

A diminutive fob in 15k gold is English, from the 1800’s, bezel set with an oval bloodstone, which has been engraved with the initials MAB (in reverse).

This could have been worn on a ribbon or a chain as a pendant, and perhaps used to press into was to seal letters.

The bloodstone has a hairline visible with magnification.

This little fob has an oval setting with a chamfered edge, the stem was created as a trefoil, or a clover, the top circle acting is the bail.

It measures 1/2 inch high, and the face of the fob is 3/8 x 1/2 inch
