NEWSLETTER - March 6, 2012

Beckoning - oil painting on canvas by Dennis Sheehan

In this month's Newsletter . . .

. . .we feature several newly listed paintings by New Hampshire painter Dennis Sheehan. Because we've recently sold a number of landscapes by this talented American, we've just made additions to our Paintings Gallery that bring the total number of his paintings on our website to more than a dozen. You'll find a link to this new group below as well as a short essay on Dennis and his work.

As we approach our Spring buying trip to England, we've also included a story about a favorite pub in the Cotswolds. You'll also find a curious tale about a recent encounter with the US Post Office, as well as this month's Pippin's Page and The Back Page. We hope you'll have a look.

Going Postal
The light and dark sides of usps.com
Although I never expected it, the Postal Service has a well-designed website that is not only quite navigable but also offers many discounts on shipping that are not known to everyone. We're using Priority Mail more than ever, and it's good for our business. Last week, though, the cyber gods played havoc with a package bound for New York. More...

The Back Page
Our unusual winter gave us another surprise last week - a March first snowstorm, which joined with our October blizzard to frame our otherwise snow-less winter. The snow arrived just in time for this month's back page. Click here for a look.
