NEWSLETTER - November
Last weekend we held our 2012
Fall Opening here in our Conway shop. The weekend began with
a large crowd of eager shoppers at the door and continued
through Monday. The first few hours of the show were
typically frenetic, and the pace on Sunday slowed enough to
permit relaxed conversation with good company. The sale
extended into Monday, when a few shoppers who had made
appointments stopped in to visit and shop. We had our share
of locals, as well as many from other parts of New England
and New York. This year's long distance award goes to an old
friend who came from Iowa.
As usual, the shop was filled with new acquisitions - more
than 200 in all. Now that the dust has settled, we're adding
the best of what's still available to our website. We hope
that you'll use the links below to have a look.

This Month's New
Although sales were brisk at last week's opening, we still
have more than one hundred new objects in our shop. We've
put a few of the best online this morning.
to have a look.
Our Fall Opening
- a few pictures -
Occasionally, one of our readers
will contact us to express their disappointment at being
unable to attend our semi-annual openings. While we'd like
to put the openings on the Internet, there's really no way
to do it without diluting the excitement generated by the
buyers who make the trip to Conway. We feel strongly that
this excitement is what makes all the difference, and we
guard it carefully.
But now that the weekend is past, we'd like to share a few
photos of the shop as it was when our guests arrived on
Saturday morning. The new listings in this newsletter are
only a few of the pieces still in the shop, so if you see
something of interest in any of the pictures, please don't
hesitate to inquire.
Additional links to more than 11,000 pages and images will
be found in the Quick Links box on our website.

The Back Page
One of the things that makes our openings seem special is
Jan's attention to details of style and presentation. One of
our floral arrangements this time was sent by her daughter
Lindsey, who was out of the country but wanted to be part of
for a look.
