An 18th-century Dutch tile on a cast iron stand

The tile depicts a house at the seashore, with smoke wafting from one of its two chimneys. Two boats on the horizon establish the locale with but a few strokes of a brush.

The tile is mounted to a square of Masonite, which is secured into a cast iron frame, a combination suited for use as a hot plate. The tile and its base are in very good condition.
