A small turned sycamore bowl

A simple, turned condiment bowl in sycamore, with a neatly turned foot and graceful form.

The blonde color of the wood is particularly striking.

The few tiny holes in the bowl, often found in sycamore pieces, were created by insects in the wood prior to harvest and turning.

English, ca. 1880

Diameter: 3 ½”
