An early brass candlestick with square base

The square base has a central dish and supports a paneled shaft with ring-turned socket. The two components of this stick are joined with an early, coarse-threaded tenon at the bottom of the shaft. The socket has a single round ejector hole.

Great unpolished patina and excellent condition.
