A large brass cream bowl on stand

An attractive bowl in heavy spun brass used for warming milk and cream, its rim decorated with punchwork demilunes.

These useful kitchen objects were designed to fit into a round hole in the top of a stove, and their undersides are usually coated with a charred layer, as is this one.

Ideal for displaying fruits or flowers, or simply reflecting light.

In excellent condition.

The display stand is a recent addition.
