Cast in two parts, the stems and sockets are seamed, and they are held by two rectangular, stepped bases with angled corners. The shape of the bases carries through the stems, which are essentially square with rounded corners.

Some of the detail of both has been softened by years of polishing, while one has a small hole where the two halves of the stem were joined. The other has a “chip” on one corner of the base.

English or Continental, 1710 – 1750

Base: 3 ¾” X 3 ¾”; Height: 7 ¼”

Price: $195
