Attractive wall-hanging oak candle box with drawer

A lovely oak box, made to hang on a wall but equally comfortable sitting on a table or a counter.

The deep box is covered by a rectangular sloped lid, hinged to the box with a narrow strip of leather and secured with two dozen brass bosses.

Beneath the box is a shallow drawer, possibly used to store matches. In today’s world, it might also provide storage for that second house key!

Excellent figure and condition.
