A striking pair of octagonal-base brass candlesticks

Simple in design, these handsome sticks are fitted with external push-up mechanisms in their columns. The columns themselves are simple cylinders, embellished on their exterior by four prominent rings, which essentially divide the shaft in half. The candlestick is supported by a stepped hexagonal base.

The ejectors move freely in the shafts, and the peened joint between shaft and base is tight.
