Early brass capstan base candle holder

The capstan form would appear to be an extension of the conical bases of early Persian and Asian candlesticks.
In this 17th-century form, it is characterized by a spun brass base into which a short stem and a deep candle socket are secured. The square ejector hole is the norm for this period, as are the slightly raised knops on the outside of the candle socket.
In very good condition, with the nicks one would expect on its exterior.
We purchased this with a similar, somewhat smaller example, and both are pictured below.
Low Countries, 1600 – 40
Height: 4 1/4”; Diameter of base: 3 3/4”
