Early bell metal taper stick with round base

A simple candle holder with a deep candle socket and a tapering shaft, which screws into a round base with raised rim. The metal has the warm glow that we attribute to bell metal, although it may simply indicate a higher percentage of copper in the original mixture.

A beautiful early candlestick in fine condition.
