An early brass candle holder with octagonal base

A compact candlestick with a stepped, octagonal base with drip pan and a short shaft with ring and acorn turnings. The bottom of the shaft is threaded with a coarse screw that secures the stem to the base.

The stick is in very good condition, except for two small casting flaws in the base.
