A bronze candlestick with broad base and acorn knop

A very distinctive candlestick, with a broad, round, stepped base and a short, thick stem, nicely detailed with multiple rings and a central acorn. The candle socket has a round ejector hole. Underneath the base are the initials “A G”, separated by a punched dot.

For reasons difficult to determine, approximately ½” of the rim of the socket has been cut away.
