A pair of early 18th-century seamed brass candlesticks

A representative pair of candlesticks of the period, these have stepped hexagonal bases and pleasingly proportioned, seamed shafts. Lovely luster.

One of the bases has been repaired with solder on its underside, a repair that is virtually invisible from above.
