A remarkable horn and cedar snuff box

A remarkable horn and cedar snuff box Two oval cedar panels are set into a pair of lovely light-colored horn frames, fashioned to join easily. Despite its age (see below), the two halves join snugly, as they must have when first made.

An oval paper, mounted inside the lid, contains the following information:
