This brass-studded wooden dome-top box was found in England. It has a glorious display of brass bosses, with diamond, star, and flower designs. There is a lock and a working key and a tassel. The box most likely dates from the 1800’s and has more recently been recovered on the inside. The outer fabric is a very short nap brown velveteen, and the bosses display well in contrast. There are also three large, pierced brass decorative pieces: two are pointed ovals on the front, and the other is a large circle with a multi-petalled star in the middle of the top.
The measurements are 11 ½” high, 11 ¼” wide, and 8 ¼” deep.
Price: $435
