Rare antique ceramic bonsai mudmen figurine

Scholars appear to converse in this rare figurine with two figures. The rendering of the two men and their clothing is highly detailed, and the colors are vibrant. Because only the robes and hair of the two men are glazed, the unglazed hands and faces are highly detailed, even to their furrowed brows. The stamped label “MADE IN CHINA” fixes the date of this remarkable figurine between 1920 and 1940.
