Compact in size and very pleasing in form, this chandelier is a superb replica of Dutch chandeliers of the 16th and 17th centuries. Each of the six arms connects to the central core with a cast tenon, which enters one of the six rectangular holes in an integral ring in the central core and is held in place by a small brass pin. Defying the exigencies of convenience, this chandelier has never been electrified.
This is an exceptionally attractive centennial that retains the symmetry and form of period originals.
English, ca. 1800
Overall width to exteriors of opposing drip pans: 16”; Height of central core: 16”
Price: $1,450
