A small table salt in oak

The turned octagonal bowl is supported by a baluster-turned post on a stepped base that echoes the octagonal shape of the bowl. The piece was turned in three sections, surely to conserve materials. The top of the post has had a slight loss.

Excellent color and the smooth surface of use and wear. A humble interpretation of an elegant accessory for the dining table.
