A small, turned sycamore bowl with paint decoration

This handsome wooden bowl has a grooved exterior and a narrow, well-defined base and has ovaled with age. The parallel marks of the chisels used in its creation are still much in evidence. This is a lovely bowl and, in today’s world would seem particularly appropriate as a serving piece.
