A small horn powder flask

An exceptionally fine horn powder flask, made to fit the hand. The barrel was formed from a length of nicely figured horn, secured at the bottom by a small oval oak plug, which is attached to the body of the flask by four small brass nails. It is topped by a turned horn lid, decorated with two scribed rings. The flask and its lid are fastened by a coarse thread.
