Qing Dynasty antique wooden storage box

A small, dovetailed box decorated with black leafy limbs painted on its red lacquered surface. The outside of the box is fitted with brass hardware: a shaped lock plate with pierced hasp (now broken), two simple wire handles, each with small metal back plates, and a pair of small hinges. The interior is trimmed with two different papers. In very good condition with excellent color all around.
