A pair of small Sheffield plate coasters

These lovely copper coasters, each of appropriate size to hold a split, have pierced sides, gadrooning around the rim, and turned mahogany bases.

Originally plated with silver, they have worn to the copper core on the outer surface.

The plating on the interior and the rim is in better condition, giving the coasters an especially warm glow.
