A majestic elm altar table with a burled single board top with scrolled ends.

The façade is adorned and stabilized by a shaped scalloped scroll apron with carved spandrels, and the legs are finished with reeded ridges.

The whole table sits on shoe feet.

Chinese, ca. 1850

Height of central surface: 35-1/2"

 













 The back of the table resembles the face, but without the carved relief,
confirming that the table was meant to be positioned against a wall.
