Tall antique oak joint stool with finely-turned legs

A distinctive stool with highly developed turning on its legs, which splay outward in all direction, unlike the typical joint stool.

The apron rails are edged with a triple moulding, and the legs terminate in small ball feet.

The stretchers have a large cross-section, a feature not found in later stools.

The single-board top is edged with a fine bullnose.
