A compact oak dresser with three gunbarrel-turned legs supporting a double Queen Anne arched apron and two drawers. Each drawer front is framed with a veneered band. The pot board below has been fitted with a plate rail, and both shaped ends are stamped with the initials “IH”. A narrow addition at the rear of the two-board top suggests that the dresser originally was fitted with shelves.

English, ca. 1700
