A tall Charles II joined oak stool

The single board top with thumbnail moulded edge is pegged to a base of four spool and baluster-turned legs joined by moulded stretcher rails and apron. The stool has a slight sheen, and a nearly black patina. All joints are tight and secure. There is some wear to the seat, and the stool is branded “I S” many times.
