A wonderful centennial of the 18th-century collapsing tables that provided portable seating at outdoor events, consisting of two “gates” that pivot around a central demi-post, and a round top. The four legs and the center post are turned with the same patterns, while the four rails are plain. The three-board top is hinged to collapse for easy carrying or leaning when the gates are turned together.
The table is in fine condition and all original.
English, ca. 1860
Diameter of top: 24 ½”; Height: 25 ¼”
Price: $575
