An oak bible box festooned with carved flowers and leaves

A handsome box, with carved tulips on its face and initials “I L”. The lid is decorated with a simple moulding on its front and side edges. The lid is reinforced with two interior cleats and attached with two forged strap hinges. The bottom is reinforced inside. The box has a small, lidded till.
Excellent color; fine condition.
