This is such a sweet fob, created in low karat gold set with a chalcedony intaglio bearing the image of a straw bee skep, surrounded by 10 hovering bees.

Often used to symbolize prosperity, industry, and harmony, the bee skep makes us think of home.

The chalcedony measures 3/8” x 7/16”, and is bezel set into a low karat gold chased and engraved fob mounting, with a decorative curled “C” attached at the verso leading to the detailed bail and split ring.

A charming English fob from the late Georgian period.
