A wonderful pair of Georgian gold and silver, garnet and diamond earrings created in two-part form.

The top section has a rose-cut diamond closed-back set into a silver flower attached to the gold earwire.

The 9 x 12 mm pendant drop is a foiled, faceted (two cuts to the girdle), oval garnet of lovely color.

There are gold shepherd’s crook earwires which go in from the front of the ear, and gold connectors joining the two sections.

English, late 1700s
