A wonderful Stuart crystal ring, created in gold and silver

The octagonal Stuart is mounted lozenge-wise (11mm) on the gold split shoulder shank with beaded decoration. The crystal has been closed-back set on a rose pink foil with gold cyphers and surround, over a love token (fabric/hair), all visible under the stepped, Asscher-type cut crystal stone.

The gold and silver ring is in very good condition and is quite wearable.

A rare commemorative of Charles I of England, who died in 1649, these Stuart crystal pieces were only created in England and are highly prized.
