A charming century silver writhing snake pendant, fashioned as an eternity piece, as his head passes his wiggling tail several times.

He gazes up at the wearer, while he is suspended from a silver belcher chain.

The chain was made in Chester in the late 1800’s, and it measures 18” in length.

The snake is 1 ¼” wide and 1 5/8” long and is marked 925; the pendant and chain weigh 16.3g.

Eternity snakes have been popular for centuries, and increasingly so in the mid-1800’s when Prince Albert gave Queen Victoria a snake ring on their engagement.
