A special pair of mid-18th century gold earrings with closed-back set pink topaz paste stones (9x9mm point to point across), which are cushion-cut and dog-tooth mounted. Each has an attached baroque pearl (11.5mm in width) pendant drop. The graceful gold shepherd’s crook earwires go in the front of the ear, and the pearls are nicely matched.

The overall measurement from the top of the gold earwires is 1 5/16”.

English, mid-1700’s and later

[Though Queen Anne reigned from 1702 – 1714, the style of jewelry created after her passing was noted as ‘Queen Anne.’]
