A rare ‘Queen Anne’ piece dating to the mid-1700’s, this foiled aquamarine paste (⅞” x ¾”) is set in a dished gilt-metal setting with dogtooth or sawtooth edges. This luscious piece was converted to a ring at a later date, most likely from a brooch or an earring. The 15k gold D-shaped shank has been attached at the shoulders. It is a stunning color, set off by the rose-cut to the stone.

It is currently a size 8 - 8 ½ but could be sized.

Though Queen Anne reigned 1702 – 1714, the style of jewelry created after her passing is generally referred to as ‘Queen Anne.’
