This ring is dazzling! It is both gold and silver. It has been open-back claw set with a table-cut emerald paste (9x11mm) with an eight stone, closed-back set, starburst-faceted diamond paste ‘halo’ (each stone is 6mm). Inside the eight-stone halo there are sixteen smaller diamond pastes. It is currently a size 5 ¼ - ½, has an undecorated bifurcated shank, and therefore is sizable. The gold shank surrounds the emerald paste at the verso of the setting to allow light to pass through. It is late 1800’s English, set in 9k gold, and has amazing sparkle!
