An original luminous miniature Renaissance-type painting in a handmade, square wood ‘frame’, also made by the artist, which has been water gilded (22k gold leaf) and cross cornered. It measures 1¼” square  and is ¼” thick. A locking brooch fitting is applied to the verso. It is signed on the back “CG ‘04”.

With the brooch we also acquired these matching earrings, signed and dated “CG ‘14”, which are ⅝” round with pierced stud fittings. These are in gold leaf frames as well.

Christina Goodman’s paintings are quite detailed, and her jewelry truly is wearable art. In her own words: “I compose and paint these miniatures inspired by the landscapes and details in paintings by Giovanni Bellini, Lorenzo Lotto, Dosso Dossi, and Jan Van Eyck, using very fine brushes, good lighting and a magnifier.”
