Steel, gold, and silver learned man’s signet ring, 1700s Quite an unusual ring in steel, lined with silver, and with gold inlay. The intaglio signet top has engraved gothic initials C H on an open book, a quill pen, Mercury’s winged helmet, a caduceus, a rifle, and a tree. On the shoulders are crossed swords over an owl, a dagger, crossed mining tools, an anchor, a laurel wreath, another caduceus, and Mercury’s helmet repeated.  This unique 1700’s ring is quite amazing; a size 10 ¾.
