An unusual silver three-section fob which has been set closed back with an uncarved carnelian (16x20mm) suspended from a silver 24” Belcher-type chain. The carnelian is set in a stepped bezel, a floral surround and a rayed back, leading to a basket of fruit, and a decorated bail for the chain. The height of the fob is 1 ¼”; there is a line in one corner of the carnelian, visible with a loupe.
