This is an elegant solid silver heart-shaped Hovedvandseg or vinaigrette box topped by a pair of lovebirds as a finial on the hinged lid top and an elegant, engraved initials design on the front (CJ or CF) . For use as a locket, it has a hanging loop on the verso and a 22” silver Belcher chain. The height is 2 ⅜”, the width is 1 ⅝”. It is a lovely piece in beautiful condition with only some  fine scratches from gentle use and care. This is a great collector’s piece for its history as a gift given to new brides as a vessel for their perfumes.
