A gorgeous Georgian ring with a large citrine stone set horizontally. The emerald-cut stone has been foiled, closed-back bezel-set with 16 crimps in 18k gold. The undecorated gold shank is bifurcated at the shoulders, where it is joined to the central mounting. The citrine  measures 12mm wide and 14mm in length. The ring has a beautifully rounded back, or ‘belly’ that is characteristic of many Georgian rings. It is currently a size 9 ½ on a grooved mandrel. A truly lovely object.
