This wonderful English silver long-guard/muff chain is 60” in length with a smooth, spring-ring/clasp at the end. It is the longest of this type we have ever had. The alternating Belcher round links each soldered as two together make the chain appear to sparkle, and its great length allows it to be passed over the head many times or wrapped, because of its clasp. Weight 55.03 grams. It dates from the early 1800’s, and the silver color is warm and lovely.
