A lovely rivière necklace created in silver and open-back, bezel set with faceted oval ruby (11x14mm) pastes stones and cushion-cut amethyst (12x12mm) paste stones.

 There is a row of gadrooned decoration around the base of each silver stone setting, and it now fastens with a simple spring ring clasp.

The necklace measures 18” in length.

Most likely late 20th century in the style of the early 1800’s necklaces.
