The Potomac was a 19th-century whaling ship made famous by the logbook kept by William H. Macy on its journey from Boston to the Pacific Ocean. The 1841 logbook is reproduced online HERE.

 The print is of a detailed drawing of the ship, signed R.R. Newell, ’66.
