A large, heavy oak panel carved in two rectangular fields. In the upper field are two circles, each divided in two by an ogee curve, and decorated with a pattern of gouges.

In the lower field, an unusual array of three-dimensional forms with similar gouging are arrayed symmetrically and surround a central medallion.

Chip carving delineates the two fields.

A beautiful and unusual example, probably saved from a chest or a chair.

A narrow frame has been added to the sides.

Panel dimensions: 13-7/8“ X 23-1/8“; Overall dimensions: 15-3/4“ X 23-1/8“
