Those who know and love Dennis’s landscapes, for which he is best known, might be surprised to learn that he ends most studio days by painting a portrait. Dennis calls these paintings his “heads”, and they are a delight to behold.

The subject of this portrait is unknown, probably one generated by Dennis’s imagination, rather than a real person. In it we see more of the hand of the artist than the face of the subject.
