An interesting pair of small brass candlesticks on triangular bases

An atypical form, similar to the familiar square-base sticks from the Low Countries in the 17th century. The short, knopped shafts support well-formed candle sockets, and the bottoms of the shafts are coarsely threaded to engage the matching threads in the bases. The triangular bases are supported by three small feet, joined to the bases by tenons, the outlines of which are visible from above.

Measurement of base, side to point: 4”; Height: 4 ¾”
