Georgian floral cluster ruby and emerald ring

A beautiful ring in 18k gold, with an eight-petaled buttercup flower mounting (10mm) at the center, which has been closed back set with eight faceted teardrop-shaped rubies around a faceted emerald.

The emerald is open-back set and may have had a lens cover to create a locket for a love token. The shoulders are engraved and taper to an undecorated verso.

The ring measures a size 7.
